MagRestore® is formulated for superior bio-availabilityand
palatability. Magnesium is needed for over 300 biochemicalreactions
in the body and is vital to nerve and muscle function.
MagRestore®, our magnesium malate, a patented form of
magnesium, consists of one molecule of malic acid attached to two
molecules of magnesium, and represents an excellent source of
magnesium and malic acid, with superior bio-availability. In
addition, as malate does not react with gastric acids, it does not
upset the digestive system as is sometimes the case with other
forms of magnesium.
Magnesium is found at significant levels throughout the body,
and is involved in a number of reactions including muscle
relaxation, blood coagulation and manufacture of ATP, the body’s
principal energy molecule. It's vital for efficient circulation,
the adrenals, hormones, pulmonary function to name a few. Malic
acid crosses the blood-brain barrier easily and binds to aluminum
in the brain, preventing an unwelcome build-up of the metal.
Furthermore, di-magnesium malate is an excellent chelator and by
replacing aluminum with magnesium, it eliminates aluminum from the
body, at the same time making magnesium available to neurons.

I have been using MagRestore for over 5 years and have seen it change many horses and owners lives. For my own horses, it allowed me to bring my once overly anxious and tense OTTB out of retirement and enjoy showing her again and to get her to finally feel comfortable in her own skin. To go from hating to be groomed to leaning her body weight against me, it was simply amazing. MagRestore has also been a Godsend in keeping my young horse mentally settled while on stall rest, aiding in the healing of his broken splint, and is a huge help in dealing with his head shaking syndrome. MagRestore has allowed both of my horses to truly come into their own and feel confident and comfortable in their own bodies. I have tried EVERY magnesium and calming equine supplement out there and I had given up until I found out about MagRestore and gave it a try. The rest is history... so incredibly thankful for the life changes it has provided both of my horses.
Head shaking Syndrone greatly improved

This product has given my Oldenberg with HSS much relief. I tried a different brand of magnesium malate for one month and his symptoms started to return in a few weeks. MagRestore must be of excellent quality to make such a huge difference in controlling these symptoms. I use the maintenance amount along with a very small dose of Cypro and melatonin daily. This solves the HS problem. It is wonderful!

Magrestore is a MUST for my horse Chex! Many years ago my 15 year old Gelding had been diagnosed with a very unknown illness called "Head Shaking Syndrome".There are many reasons why a horse will start head tossing and acting stiff and muscle sore. One of the most common reasons and the easiest and least expensive shot in the dark was to start him on Magnesium. Speaking with Veterinarian Doctor Carpenter from Cave Creek Animal Hospital I was recommended to start him on Magrestore by Performance Equine Nutrition. Before starting him on Magrestore he could not be ridden with out a fly mask or showable in Reining at all. His head shaking and body tension was so extreme I had to pull him out of the show circuit. Feeding 2x a day in a feed bag with grain he started to finally relax. After only a few months I could ride him most days with out a fly mask. His muscle flinching relaxed and he was not tossing his head hardly at all anymore. Having clear days in AZ through the winter I have learned that it is not just the summer months that he needs the extra Magnesium but actually all year round. He is now a great trail horse and baby sitter for our 3 year old! However on Magrestore every day of his life. Feel free to contact me with questions about Chex and Magrestore.

I have a wonderful, trustworthy, babysitter-type mare, but she's always hated to be touched. She liked to stand close to you, but cringed if you touched her, hated being brushed and saddled. She also always had some back pain, and no matter what saddle I tried, the fit always seemed to bother her and her back was super tight and tense. I was also warned before buying her that I needed to regulate her on trail rides.. she would not stop to rest on her own but would keep going until she collapsed. I did my best for years to find a saddle that fit, chiropractic adjustments, extra soft brushes, and just let her be close without touching her neck or back. One day someone on a forum was talking about their horse with a mag deficiency and it rang a ton of bells with her behavior. They sent me here, and I tried a 14 day trial. By the end of the first week, she was a different horse. She still cringed away from being touched, but then would come back and want you to try again.. I had to be gentle but she was enjoying a scratch or rub! Things only got better from there! She's been on MagRestore for a few years now, she no longer has back pain, her muscles are nice and loose instead of tight as a board, and she will lean into and enjoy a good scratching! If she goes off the product, I can tell within a few days.. My gelding gets the same hay and feed, and while he's a nervous wreck sometimes, feeding him this product only gives him the runs.. so it must be something genetic about her, not a feed issue. Thank goodness for the pelleted version, she stopped eating the powder after a few months and I had to go to a different product that was full of fillers and didn't work as well, it helped, but not as much. As soon as the pellets came out, I switched back, and she's been doing great on a maintenance dose. If I can help it, she'll never be without it. What I do love is that you can tell within a week if its going to help your horse.. the changes are huge if it is, if not, they get the runs and you can stop feeding it. I've had several friends "borrow" a week's worth of a loading dose to see if it helped their horse, when its what you need, it really does the job!
Great product, amazing results!

My once calm thoroughbred mare, Bella, had became so spooky that my adrenaline would rise every ride in anticipation of her taking off. She would toss her head in what seemed like a shooting nerve pain running from the left side of her face past the left ear. She was not improving physically despite consistent training and well-planned workouts. She would pin her ears when being brushed due to some pain and discomfort. Her muscles were extremely tight, and she was almost chronically tying up. Adding MagRestore to her diet not only cured her physical ailments including the hyper nerve sensitivity and muscle stiffness, but also improved her ability to remain calm in stressful situations. She can now come down from a state of excitement or stress back to a calm state very quickly, where as before it took her a very long time to relax if at all. I highly recommend this product to any horse owner or caretaker who has a horse that displays signs of magnesium deficiency. It will greatly improve the quality of life for your horse and for you. Note: After the loading dose (2 scoops 2x/day for 10 days), I found that some signs of deficiency returned at 1 scoop 2x/day. She now gets 1.5 scoops 2x/day and I have found this to be the ideal maintenance dose for Bella. She is a 15.1hh fit thoroughbred mare.
